This week’s subject for the photo challenge is ‘contrasts’.
I have selected two photos this week, which I have made last year in the Mezquita de Córdoba (Andalusia, Spain).
This is a medieval Islamic mosque that was converted into a Roman Catholic Christian cathedral. The cathedral has been build in the middle of the mosque and you can still see a very big part of both the cathedral and the original mosque. I really loved this building, because of the contrast between the two cultures and the type of buildings.
This week’s photo challenge is all about ‘between’.
I chose to interpret the theme as a space in between something.
When I was in Berlin last weekend, we visited the holocaust monument. When I was standing between the concrete blocks I looked up into the sky and I saw the clouds and the blue sky in between of these concrete blocks , I thought this picture is perfect for this week’s challenge.
This week’s photo challenge is all about an unexpected ‘extra’.
For this subject I have found this photo, which I took already a long time ago in Milan. The picture is taken at the roof of the Duomo in Milan, were there is unexpectedly growing a small green plant.
This picture is taken at the Kromme Elleboogsteeg, Haarlem – The Netherlands
