Being on a boat in the Norwegian Fjords is a perfect place to find some ‘silence’.

Scale
Huge cruise ships in the tiny harbor of Stavanger made me feel really small.
Waiting
Waiting in line for one of the touristic attractions in Bergen, Norway, during last year’s holiday.
Elemental
Last year in Norway I felt connected to the earth as we were climbing the rocks and fjord and enjoying very nice views like this, on our way to the top of Preikestolen.
Earth
Atop
The top of Preikestolen, almost on top of the world. Or at least that is how it feels.
The Road Taken
In this post from last year I already showed you the challenging path I had to walk to reach the top of Preikestolen. Compared to that rough path you can imagine that we were quite delighted that the road by the end of the trail was almost flat like in this photo.
Shadow
Capturing our shadows while walking in Bergen, to prove that we had some sunny days in Norway!
Solitude
When I like to take a quiet moment for myself I love to go for a walk, preferably somewhere where I can walk through some nice alleys and streets with cute houses. Last summer in Norway I discovered that the cities in this country are more quiet then the cities I used to go to. As I was travelling with my good friend Daria I was not completely alone, but walking through some of the quiet streets was a perfect way to relax during our holiday.
