Waiting in line for one of the touristic attractions in Bergen, Norway, during last year’s holiday.
Every time I see a sunset I have to photograph it, even when it’s the view from my window I see every day and I have captured many many times already. So I guess sunsets are my ‘Ooh, shiny!’
This was my view when I was having dinner with a friend at the Spaarne in Haarlem.
Last year in Norway I felt connected to the earth as we were climbing the rocks and fjord and enjoying very nice views like this, on our way to the top of Preikestolen.
Two weeks ago I went on a first urban exploring trip, back to the old theme park ‘t Land van Ooit. The park closed in 2007 and the only thing that is left is the pink castle and one attraction, but it was a nice trip down memory lane.
Both the type of photography trip as well as the pink castle which has a small tree growing from one of the towers were kind of unusual for me.

Sunflowers in the botanical gardens in Leiden, the Netherlands
I love to take photos from the train, which results in lots of out-of-focus photos of trees.
Shelves full of Dutch kruidnoten and pepernoten, typical Dutch candy during Sinterklaas period in winter, all neatly arranged by color and flavor.
I do not have a pet right now, but I do have friends with pets I can cuddle from time to time.
Leo, the Pyrenean shepherd of my friend living in the South of The Netherlands, welcomed me in their house one time all dressed up with this cute little bow tie (if you can spot it in this picture). This cutie even has his own Instagram page!
