Sunflowers in the botanical gardens in Leiden, the Netherlands
Shelves full of Dutch kruidnoten and pepernoten, typical Dutch candy during Sinterklaas period in winter, all neatly arranged by color and flavor.
That short moment when nature is telling you spring is coming.
Again a square photo, made with the daily photo app on my phone, of very typical ‘Dutch/Amsterdam heritage’.
A square photo this time, as I made this one with a daily photo app on my phone while I was running some time ago.
When I was walking through Naarden Vesting some time ago I found this small surprise on the wall of one of the houses, a Dutch poem called ‘this is what the wall is telling’.
I’m not a translator, but I tried to translate the poem into English for the non Dutch followers:
If this wall could tell what he heard and saw
but he says: look up and read this poem
for a moment forget who and where you are, just become
as light that you will lose your weight, float
through space and see what I see: there
there you are, somewhere in between the people
The pigs in the Green Pigs art piece from French artist BIBI for the Amsterdam Light Festival are shaped out of plastic materials which could have been used for other purposes.
